How to place an Order in the right way?

How can I place an order on-line?

1. To place your order on-line please click "order ", then fill in all necessary corresponding fields and upload the picture or image ( there is also possibility to send printed photo by mail or to bring it to us). Having filled in corresponding fields by your contact information and having confirmed the order and the way of delivery, you will be sent an e-mail confirming the order together with the account.

What sizes of canvas are possible to order?

For your convenience we have selected 3 basic sizes and have presented them in the table of order in two variants:

The most popular size – 45х60cm. All standard sizes are guaranteed to be available to purchase in target dates.

I placed my order what next?

Order confirmation

We review every order and file before processing. If we do not have any questions, our friendly team will inform you about readiness for production.

If necessary we will get in contact with you to clarify details.

We usually produce the order within 7 working days from receipt of your payment.

How long will it take to ship order?

If you choose standard size canvas or if non standard size is available in warehouse – 7 working days delivery is guaranteed from the receipt of your payment.

Term of delivery depends on a type of delivery you choose:

* Office address: A.Deglava street 166b, Riga, Trialeks SIA.

If you need a rush production service or you need to receive canvas by the certain date – it is also possible!

Please specify the desirable date of production in a window "comment" when filling the order and we will contact you for acknowledgement of this date.

We also can ship a canvas by another type of delivery, according your proposal, preliminary agreed.

How my canvas will be packed?

We offer two types of packing:

- Standard – canvas carefully packed in protective foam and paper. It is packed free of charge.

- Transit (Gift) – canvas is wrapped in a soft protective film and a specially designed box, consisting of 2 parts. This packing allows transporting canvas safely, even shipping by mail. The given packing is the most suitable for gifts.

Cost: Ls 5,00

To order special wrapping it is necessary to specify it in the order form.

There is also a possibility to order a customized label on packing with your wish or other information. Add the corresponding message in "comment".

Can I specify other address for delivery (for example to present a canvas)?

Yes, sure!

We have provided such opportunity in the order. Simply fill a field " the Information for delivery ".

What do I need to know?

What files format is better to use?

Short answer: 300 dpi JPEG

Long answer: to guarantee good result, we recommend keeping photos/images in format JPEG without compression.

The majority of modern digital cameras perfectly suitable for making images on a canvas. If your camera is 5 mega pixel or higher and you've taken the photo at the highest setting you won't have a problem.

If you're not sure about any of that, you can check the file size by right clicking on your image, then, click on properties, where the size will be displayed.

Images that are 2 meg or higher are great. Images under 2 meg but higher than 700kb are almost always workable, so go ahead and upload those.

Files under 700kb may work if the canvas is not too large and the image is clear. Do not worry; feel free to upload those as well with a note in the "comments" to contact you if there is an issue with resolution.

Can I use traditional printed photos?

Many of our canvases are created from traditional photographic prints and they look wonderfully. You can scan your traditional print and upload it with your order or we can scan it for you.

If you are not able to scan a photo yourself, please select the "Traditional print" option when placing an order, or send it to us whether by mail, with courier, or bring to our office.

After the order termination we will obligatory return a traditional photo back together with a canvas.

If delivery addresses of a photo and a canvas differ, please specify it in a window "comment" at the order registration.

How to scan photo correctly?

You can use a flat bed scanner to scan your image at 300 dpi resolution. Save the file in RGB mode using JPEG format with the highest quality setting and lowest compression.

Is there a possibility to transform my photo into a canvas artwork?

Our artists can simulate various techniques for your photo: oil painting effect, water color painting effect, pencil sketch or vector graphic..

We also offer a plenty of additional opportunities such as minor imperfections repair in a photo or quality and appearance improvement.

Further information see in section Order to choose additional effects for you, it is necessary to enter the menu "Additional opportunities" and specify necessary effects.

In case you have not found required effect, describe it as much as possible in detail in a window "comment" and we will try to solve the issue.

Copyright

Can I use images from Internet?

By sending us your image, you are automatically acknowledging that you are the copyright owner of this image, or have obtained permission from the copyright owner in written form, which permits us to print it in accordance with your order.

Placing the order, we will ask you to confirm yours copyrights for the sent image: "I certify that I own the copyright for this photo(s) or, I am authorized by the owner to make and use a photo-to-canvas reproduction. I agree with terms of the copyright and agree to be legally bound by these terms"

Whether my photo can be used by other persons in the further?

Photocanvas.lv excludes outflow of the information, so we will maintain the confidentiality and non distribution of the information provided in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
